    Duties And Responsibilities
  • Review past corrective actions for high-risk rated items
  • Collaborate with various divisions to ensure the effectiveness of implemented corrective actions
  • Record results in a database and develop metrics to analyze performance
  • Propose ideas for continuous improvement in processing and tracking effectiveness
  • Support SMS and IEP teams with ongoing development of enhancements and improvements
  • Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures

    What You Need To Succeed (minimum Qualifications)
  • Qualified candidate must be enrolled as a current/active student in an accredited graduate program at a college and/or university
  • Candidate must be willing to commit to the duration of the internship which may last up to 6 months or longer
  • This position requires student to work full time. Student cannot actively take any courses (inclusive of online or in-person) and work as a Co-op/Intern at the same time, which may delay graduation by 1-2 semesters
  • Must be able to work onsite in our Atlanta, GA office for the duration of the Co-op/Internship
  • Working as a Co-op/Intern does not guarantee a full-time opportunity at Delta Air Lines upon graduation. This position is intended to provide educational and professional work experience to prepare the student for the workforce
  • Must have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Confident in PowerPoint and presentation creation; executive decks are built regularly
  • Strong presentation skills in front of leaders and large groups
  • Must be self-sufficient and complete assignments with minimal supervision
  • Must be detail-oriented and perform well under pressure
  • Must be eager to accept responsibility and create value-added projects
  • Must demonstrate flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must demonstrate a professional demeanor when interacting with all levels of the organization
  • Must exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data
  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles
  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States
    What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (preferred Qualifications)
  • Basic working level and knowledge of Smartsheet
  • Preferred majors in Aviation Safety, Aviation Management, or similar field of study
