SUMMARY:

An exciting and well-established 100+ unit restaurant company within the QSR segment is seeking a well-organized and professional Financial Operations Manager. This individual must have 5+ years of experience in financial reporting, analysis, management, and restaurant operations to join our fast-paced team. This individual will add value to our growing team by performing as a liaison working alongside both the finance department and operations team. The Financial Operations Manager will report to the Senior Director of Finance and Facilities and will have a fluid, working relationship with the Directors of Operation.

RESPONSIBILITIES: • Financial Oversight: Manage AP, AR, and GL activities to maintain accurate records and timely transactions. Generate periodic financial statements, oversee reconciliations of daily sales deposits, and highlight any discrepancies. Provide regular updates to leadership on financial health and potential risks. • Budget & Forecast: Develop comprehensive annual budgets in partnership with senior leadership, factoring in seasonal sales variations and historical performance. Monitor ongoing spending against targets, recommend mid-year adjustments, and propose initiatives for improving financial outcomes. • Cost Control: Evaluate major cost drivers—including labor scheduling, food inventory, and vendor contracts—to identify opportunities for efficiency. Collaborate with store managers to implement practical measures, from renegotiating supply agreements to refining staffing strategies, to curb unnecessary expenses. • Compliance & Controls: Maintain updated permits and enforce standards related to health codes, franchisor directives, and tax regulations. Establish robust internal controls to safeguard credit card usage, minimize cash variances, and ensure the accurate reporting of sales data. • Collaboration: Align financial targets with operational goals by partnering with store managers and cross-functional teams. Provide insights on expansions, major upgrades, or new initiatives, ensuring decisions are backed by thorough ROI analysis and realistic cost estimates. • Team Leadership: Offer mentorship and training to junior finance staff, ensuring consistency in reporting and best practices across all units. Promote a results-driven culture by explaining budgets, educating teams on performance indicators, and encouraging cross-departmental transparency.

REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA/CPA preferred) • Minimum 5+ years in multi-unit financial management or similar high-volume, operational finance role • Hands-on experience with AP, AR, GL, and financial reporting software • Knowledge of labor scheduling, food cost management, and inventory control methods • Exceptional analytical, communication, and organizational skills • Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly, resolve issues, and maintain accuracy in a fast-moving environment

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in finance or math related major is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
